I love TOKIO too much to just let them go without a thread. And even if I was the only fan on this board I still would have made it.

We like quality over quantity?

I like the new singles but I just wish we had an album, or that when we get an album it'll be something epic to make up for such a long string of singles. I mean if you take in all the B-sides they've released about two albums worth of music already with their J-Storm singles.

whitedove needs to stop beating up on me ;_;

J-Storm was srsly a bad move. I don't know what they're doing at J-Storm and holding back on releases. I still haven't heard these songs yet, I preordered the singles but they're shipping out with my K8 releases. I like to listen to them once I get them to get my money's worth, lol.

Hell, I'd take a concert DVD or anything right about now. Come on J-Storm.

I really wonder what's going on with J-Storm. While Arashi was putting out singles like crazy TOKIO got singles every once in a while with Hey! Say! JUMP barely releasing anything. They seem to be on track with fixing things as much as they can with HSJ, as they now have to share members with NYC, but they really have done nothing for changing things for TOKIO to make it look like they're on track again.

They need to announce an album soon and hopefully a concert DVD as well. Or maybe the album will have an edition that comes with a concert DVD. Then they could kill two birds with one stone.

TOKIO has had like activity on the concert scene... then there's obviously the dramas and then the single tie in but jesus. Product wise, we've been dry since the switch over. I don't understand why J&A even killed their arrangement with Universal to move them to J-Storm if they weren't going to do anything wtih them.

Not to mention that their sales have been dropping and I wouldn't doubt if it was lack of promotion either on J&A's side.

I was going to say we shouldn't blame J-Storm since it's really the management's decision but JE owns J-Storm anyway...

Let's face it, JE is slowly getting rid of the groups they don't like/don't sell as much; V6's releases have also really slowed down. TOKIO's always been pretty shafted (up there with T&T); I can't believe it's been this many years since their last full album. Arashi's slowed down a bit as well (I think they're facing overload and I think AKB48's taken over for them).

I always regarded TOKIO the "special" group from the rest of J&A's plethora of male idols. They always had more control because they were the "rock band", you know? Mabo used to direct the PVs, Leader/Taichi wrote quite a bit of the songs, etc etc. I never really looked at TOKIO's activities and tried to compare them to the other acts because they were, essentially, a rock band.

So its like... J&A is trying to manage them like a boyband and shelve them and its sooooo annoying to watch because nothing was wrong with the direction they were going in the first place.

^I totally agree. I loved those PVs mabo directed! I really liked their early-mid 2000s material; they were totally on the right track, I wish JE would give them another chance. And maybe it's just me but I feel like all their songs they've been releasing on J-Storm are really lackluster, their Universal material was sooo good.

IA IA IA IA with everything you just said there. Amegasa was great because it was a collaboration between them and Tokyo Jihen, but every other single has just been decreasing in quality. I still buy the singles because, well, I'm a huge TOKIO fan but... I feel like that they're just becoming a shadow of themselves creatively. Its breaking my little TOKIO fangirl heart tbqh.

I can see why they only wanted 1,000 for it but still >_> Limited edition is weak as hale. The CD cover won't close and the discs keep falling out of it so I had to stick it back in the plastic.

 I like all the songs, Miageta Ryuusei is a far better single than Nanananananananabk;lsdjg but I think the B-sides on NaNaNa were a lot stronger than on Miageta Ryuusei. It's like a trade off.
