it appears that you can sample the opening track for NEW MORNING, HOPE & DREAMS, on itunes
It's a pretty good, energetic song. Pretty similar to a lot of her recent output, but in a good way since it works for her. I wonder if she has a gay following in Japan, I feel like she'd be the Cher of Japan with songs like this lol.
Funny you mention that since HOPE & DREAMS has been announced the theme song for the TOKYO RAINBOW WEEK 2014
LOL! That answers my question I guess...
Listened to all of the album except the last two tracks (Re-Brain and the other one). My opinion is basically this:
- The arrangements of the songs are especially well done! I love how professional everything sounds and the violins and everything sound so pretty with her strong voice.
- The melodies themselves are extremely safe, have been done before, but still are mostly good
- Listening to this album in one full listen (minus the last two tracks), all the tracks sorta mesh together and it's hard to remember which is which
- Listening to a new MISIA album after so long reminds me how much better her voice is than her J-pop peers, and was very refreshing
So overall: Not very creative, but still very listenable, with a lot of effort put into the arrangements and MISIA's voice saving songs with ordinary melodies.
