I'm surprised at how much fun both the encores are! I had so much fun rewinding them. About to put in my rank of favourite performances as well, but am afraid I'm gonna have to re-watch it for that lol.

The encores are always the best part because they always go totally crazy and it's all fan service 62d368f563afbecf48a38e859604ca0eab627d29_r I kind of hope this DVD will make everyone who says that they don't have fun in Tokyo shut up. I don't know how you can watch this DVD and think that they're not having fun. Sure, Osaka is better but it's not like they're certain other groups *coughs* who obviously don't want to be there.

Oooh, yeah! Let's rank performances! I'll have to rewatch it too...20e16166be438c97c47d5d93eea966977252c239_r

Did you watch Wink Killer yet?! I love the first Kyocera one...I've watched it so many times because it cracks me up every time Cfe360fd6c85b4ff44bd8c20945cc1911023de3c_r

Hi!!! And welcome!!! I'm sorry for the late reply, I've been away. For TV shows, the current Janiben is very entertaining (although you need Japanese to really appreciate it). I also love Shiwake (haha, this is so what I was waiting for when Kanpani ended). For old shows, Kanpani is a winner (nothing better than watching them fail episode after episode) and Canjani is also a lot of fun.

For songs, given you said you listened to LIFE, maybe you'll like band songs more? My suggestions for band songs:

Rolling Coaster (find a live version, so much better than the studio version although that's good too)
Misetekure
Baby Baby
Minus 100do no Koi (okay, they didn't play this as a band but they SHOULD HAVE!!)
ONE
Do you agree? (no CD release but there are tons of live rips)
DIVE (again, no CD release but I love this song)
Gorigori
tte!!!!!!!
Tabi no hate ni wa
My home

Crazy/crack songs:

Musekinin Hero
Suki yanen, Osaka
Kyuu Jou Show!!
T.W.L.
Giga maji mega fight
Zukkoke Otoko michi
Kanfuu Fighting
Wonderful World!!
It's my soul

Good pop songs:

Ichibyou Kiss
monogram
Heavenly Psycho (a fan favorite, highly recommended)
Kanashii Koi
Mermaid (no CD release)
fuka fuka Love the earth
Ukiyo Odori bito
Brilliant Blue
Kemuri
Horori Melody

Ballads/slower songs:

Mugendai
Hitotsu no Uta
Animal Magic
Fuyu Koi
Aoshashin
Puzzle
Glorious
Eden (probably my favorite ballad of theirs)
BJ

I may have missed some songs in there but I think this is a good list to start with. My favorite album of theirs is PUZZLE so if you want to just start with an album, that's a good one. B0b268e653b8a40783297dc6ad6c1609b0cb7980_r

Ryo seemed kind of out of it to me. And Shota's hair looks AWFUL (like, I was laughing because it looked so bad). What was he thinking when he got his hair cut like that???

My Home was awesome! Love the LIVE feel of the performance, especially how Subaru and the band pretend like it was real live. smiley: laugh They will be on MS again this Friday. Hoping for an even much better performance! smiley: wink

Yasu will be leading a butai in July and August. Looks like K8's tour this year won't come until at least September.

I'm happy Shota is doing a butai but I really really wanted them to do a summer tour (I don't know but summer = tour season to me, winter tours are a pain )/

My Home on MS was so much fun. *happy* I like how they actually have been playing their instruments for real unlike most bands who fake it for MS.

Hmm, we should be getting details on 365nichi soon...

@Callandra: Thank you so much for your help! it has helped me a lot . You are right, I seem to be a fan of their band stuff, but their crack stuff is great too!. I downloaded 8uppers to start, as well as the other songs you recommended and I've had them on replay ever since. I haven't gotten around to watch their full shows yet (I have a big project I have to finish for school...probably not a good idea if I start watching episodes of their shows when I have to work to do ), but as soon as I'm done with it I'll get around to watch them. I don't know their personalities that much yet, but so far Ohkura seems to be an early favorite. Maybe that'll change as I get to know them better.

Btw I loved their performance of "My Home" this past friday. I'm glad they'll be on MS again next week.

Funny trivia: I've been listening to jpop for about 11 yrs but believe it or not I never got into Johnny's (yes...I'm surprised I went this long without being interested in them, but then again I've always liked girlgroups better ). Until a few days the only Johnny songs I had on my ipod were "Life" by Kanjani8, "Believe" by Arashi and "Weeeek" by NEWS. So I guess Kanjani8 is my "first" Johnny group.

I'm glad to be of some help. I'll admit, as much as I love their crack songs, I think I prefer the band more. I was raised listening to the Eagles and stuff so I prefer real instruments to computer generated sounds (although they're not bad with that...I'm so happy they're not doing autotune).

Aww, you like Princess? xD (We all call Ohkura 'Princess' here, lol) He's really really popular, I think he's probably the most popular member now (even more so than Ryo). My fangirl heart belongs to Shota and Yoko's a close second (but I love them all <3).

I love love love My Home, I picked up the single on my way home from work today. I love the cover  3f1268864eb694bb8b9948c131757f941a97c5a3_r3f1268864eb694bb8b9948c131757f941a97c5a3_r

Neowing added some details for 365, the Subaru/Ryo unit song will be on the regular addition AS WELL AS...

*drumroll*

A rearranged version of TOPOP featuring all the members!!! Okay, this is seriously going to be EPIC

Futari no Hana is such a lovely song, I know it's an unit song but gosh I can't get enough of it 3f1268864eb694bb8b9948c131757f941a97c5a3_r. And I liked it even more after I found out who sings it.E9016b63bb498b99cde139a855d3294f5539176d_r

Actually, all 4 songs are great. I keep rotating the #1 spot between My Home, and Futari no Hana but the other 2 are great as well.

I love this single so much <3333 Let me know how the making is, I only bought the CD only version =X I love watching them fool around and have fun during the makings  3f1268864eb694bb8b9948c131757f941a97c5a3_r

EIGHTOPOP is going to be sooo amazing  043267964bbd04dd8299e0c9ca8ee0329345548d_r043267964bbd04dd8299e0c9ca8ee0329345548d_r043267964bbd04dd8299e0c9ca8ee0329345548d_r

I really like Futari no Hana as well! It's really catchy and Baby Moonlight has really grown on me (at first I couldn't figure out where the chorus was Cfe360fd6c85b4ff44bd8c20945cc1911023de3c_r). The Yoko/Hina song is okay; I really love the part where Yoko whispers, "arigatou na" and Hina whispers, "kocchi koso na" back Cfe360fd6c85b4ff44bd8c20945cc1911023de3c_rCfe360fd6c85b4ff44bd8c20945cc1911023de3c_rCfe360fd6c85b4ff44bd8c20945cc1911023de3c_r *pictures the screams from the concerts when they did that*

OMG can't believe I missed this question! Sorry...

Subaru was co-leading a drama in 1999 with Nino called Abunai Houkago. But since then, he hasn't done a proper drama series, only drama specials here and then, but usually when he did those, he's the lead.

Though I do think he's a better actor than even Ohkura. At least Subaru comes off as natural on screen with smoother dialogue delivery.

^I hate to say it but I agree with you even though Arigatou, Okan is the only thing I've seen Subaru act in. Ohkura's good at being out of it and being the eye candy of a drama but his acting could use some work. (To be honest, I think most of K8 are still rough-around-the-edges as actors -- I think Yoko's a decent actor and Ryo's shown much improvement, they all need some acting lessons =X).

I really like Ohkura but watching him and Maki act together in the first episode of Umareru was kind of painful D: The only dramas with him in them that I've actually finished are Utahime and Yasuko to Kenji.

So I watched all the Okan clips first because they were short and wouldn't interfere with school work. Ryo makes one ugly ass woman! I couldn't get over how "pretty" Yasu looked with that wig. And I'm starting to see why Ohkura is called "Princess", but it just makes me like him more. Seriously, where have I been all this time? I should have been in this fandom ages ago.

Looking forward to their performance on MuStation. Not only I want to see them performing "My Home", but I'm also looking forward to any possible interaction with my girls. The past couple of times that Soshi has gone to Music Station they have been so stiffed and nothing like I'm used to seeing them, so I'm hoping the guys will help them loosen up a bit.

The Okan clips from Honjani? Haha, yeah, I don't really think Maki's that great of an actress =X I do like the drama though because I think it's interesting and it's nice see a drama cover an issue that gets looked over a lot. I think the only Ohkura dramas I've seen are ROMES and GM; I saw a little of Yasuko to Kenji but when it was on TV, I had swimming so I never got to see much of it  Cfe360fd6c85b4ff44bd8c20945cc1911023de3c_r

Their performance at Music station was better than last week's. I think everyone was on point and sounded great.  Good job guys Thumbsup. And thank goodness Yasu's hair wasn't styled like last week's. It wasn't a good lookD3e263d677b8d4ff8909e1cdc3d8e368724580db_r

But they seemed a bit quiet today didn't they? Granted, both girlgroups pretty much stole the entire show (3f1268864eb694bb8b9948c131757f941a97c5a3_r) but I was hoping to see them interact a bit more. They were kinda..."well behaved" if that makes any sense haha. Well, at least we got bits and pieces of their dorky selves during SNSD's dance explanation and during their interview part 71136fd96943b08942b082089991c3dea09bce0b_r. Yoko's facial expressions during the interview were hilarious.

Oh man, can't even begin to imagine what's the situation will be like during the course of 24Hours TV, when they're 'forced' to behave all the time, and fail (since it's live). It'd be epic to watch!

And also for more recommendation, I would totally recommend you to watch the 47 Neoki Dokkiri (I think it's either bakanosekai or eitokickass who subbed them, can't remember). You have Yoko & Subaru dressed in their Eito Rangers outfit, went around the hotel to wake the members up in the wee hours of the morning, forced the sleepy members to do one-liners on spot, then forced the members to follow them to wake other members in their own Ranger outfit. Then watch as how the other 5 members planned a revenge on Yoko & Subaru, and went to wake them up again. smiley: laugh

You got personalities, grumpiness, weirdness, fan-service, giggles, bullying, wit, all in one package. One word for this dokkiri: EPIC! smiley: tongue
