Oh I am sorry wasnt this the MTV VMA Japan Awards? Then why the hell are there so many Western artists? I cant stand the way Moron Television does things.

And once more, Koda Kumi was robbed of it all. And out of all videos they choose "Spotlight" really?

Why are you shocked? The VMAs have been awards-robbing corporate snooze-fest for awhile.
But since Japan's pop music is so much more open-minded than the west, theirs look more staged.
If this makes sense....

I was trying to find the wins for MTV Video Music Awards and wiki page looks out of date: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MTV_Video_Music_Awards_Japan

For example, I can only focus on Namie since I'm a fan - they had her down for 8 but for my research:

1. MTV Video Music Awards Japan 2002 - Inspiration Award Japan
2. MTV Video Music Awards Japan 2003 - Best Collaboration (w/ Suite Chic)
3. MTV Video Music Awards Japan 2004 - Best R&B Video
4. MTV Video Music Awards Japan 2004 - buzzAsia from Japan
5. MTV Video Music Awards Japan 2005 - Best R&B Video (Song by "Girl Talk")
6. MTV Video Music Awards Japan 2005 - Most Impressivle Performing Artist in Asia
7. MTV Student Voice Awards 2007 - "Student Voice" Respect Award
8. MTV Video Music Awards Japan 2008 - Best R&B Video (Song by "Hide & Seek")
9. MTV Video Music Awards Japan 2009 - Best Female Video (Song by "New Look")
10. MTV Video Music Awards Japan 2009 - Best R&B Video (Song by "Sexy Girl")
11. MTV VMA J 2010 - Best Female Video for 'Fast Car'
12. MTV VMA J 2012 - Best Female Video for 'Love Story'
13. MTV VMA J 2012 - Best Collaboration Video for 'Make It Happen' w/ Afterschool

Even if they took out the Student Award, the Performing one and the Inspiration one -- she would have 10 non?

^ SUITE CHIC was a collaborative effort where namie was part of it as the female vocalist. on her own, she won 8 out of the categories she was nominated in in the videos category.
so minus the following, and walla = 8

1. MTV Video Music Awards Japan 2002 - Inspiration Award Japan
2. MTV Video Music Awards Japan 2003 - Best Collaboration (w/ Suite Chic)
4. MTV Video Music Awards Japan 2004 - buzzAsia from Japan
6. MTV Video Music Awards Japan 2005 - Most Impressivle Performing Artist in Asia
7. MTV Student Voice Awards 2007 - "Student Voice" Respect Award

Oh I see... They are getting super technical and only counting the 'video' wins etc. Shame because it makes these other ones seem less etc. Thx Buffie.
