Kahala Tomomi to make her comeback with ‘FNS Kayousai’
by ustaron November 25, 2012 at 12:10 am

Singer Kahala Tomomi will be resuming her activities after a 5 year hiatus.
On November 23rd, her previous agency ‘Production Ogi‘ announced that they are making arrangements with Kahala to sign an exclusive contract. Her comeback will be an appearance in Fuji TV’s special music program, ‘FNS Kayousai‘, which will air on December 5th from 7:00 pm JST.
Kahala was dismissed from Production Ogi after continuous last-minute cancellations and went on hiatus back in June of 2007. At that time, she was experiencing disruption in her mental and physical balance due to drug habits (sleeping pills). However in November of 2010, she moved to the Philippines, where her father resides, where she engaged herself in volunteer work. After returning to Japan last November, she’s been helping out at nursing homes and through these experiences, she began to wonder how she could “help people who are troubled.”
Production Ogi is planning to arrange a place where Kahala can sing in front of fans within this year. Although she doesn’t belong to a record label at this time, the agency revealed, “We want to release a new song next spring.”

I was so surprised and happy to see this! She looked and sounded great and I hope she's worked on her personal issues. Looking forward to new music!

Wow those covers are gorgeous. The sad thing is the song is basically a representation of her career, which makes listening to the song a little emotional...

Those covers are absolutely gorgeous and I'm honestly surprised her voice still sounds so good (relatively speaking, I know she's never been an amazing vocalist). I think I will have to buy this.

Wonder if this is leading up to some kind of cover album? That would be very safe for a comeback album, which would probably be for the best...
