Upcoming Releases:
Description from Misa-chan via the official website -

As we head towards ayu’s 15th Anniversary on 8 April 2013, we’ll be releasing consecutive works on the 8th of the next 5 months!

And for the 1st chapter, we have mini album “LOVE” with 12 tracks, including new works “Song 4 u”, “Melody”, “Missing”, and remixes of big hit “You & Me”!

“Song 4 u” is the theme song for the game “Tales of Xillia 2″, which will be released on 1 November. It was first revealed at “Tokyo Game Show 2012″, held at Makuhari Messe on 23 September, and received with wild approval from the “Tales of” fans. Following the collaboration of “progress” with last year’s “Tales of” series, this song with its majestic worldview and runaway feelings has stoked fans’ anticipation for the new game.

“Melody”, composed by Mr Hoshino Yasuhiko, is a medium ballad with lyrics that resonate in one’s heart and an unforgettable melody, and is doubtless the essence of ayu’s ballads.

“Missing” is a rock track composed by Mr Hara Kazuhiro, who also composed other big hits; a medium number overflowing with sorrow.

These 3 tracks shine with ayu’s charm. Furthermore, the current big hit for this summer “You & Me” have also been remixed by Oosawa Shinichi and Remo-con, to make up a total of 12 tracks!

This mini album marks the first out of 5 releases, which will be coming out on 8 Dec (Sat), 8 Jan (Tue), 8 Feb (Fri) and 8 Mar (Fri)!!

From Wikipedia:
Ayumi Hamasaki is a Japanese singer-songwriter and former actress. Also called Ayu by her fans, Hamasaki has been dubbed the "Empress of Pop" because of her popularity and widespread influence in Japan. Born and raised in Fukuoka, she moved to Tokyo at fourteen to pursue a career in entertainment. In 1998, under the tutelage of Avex CEO Max Matsuura, she released a string of modestly selling singles that concluded with her 1999 debut album A Song for ××. The album debuted atop the Oricon charts and stayed there for four weeks, establishing her popularity in Japan.
Hamasaki's constantly changing image and tight control over her artistry has helped her popularity extend across Asia; music and fashion trends she has started have spread to countries such as China, Singapore, and Taiwan. She has appeared in or lent her songs to many advertisements and television commercials. Though she originally supported the exploitation of her popularity for commercial purposes, she later reconsidered and eventually opposed her status as an Avex "product".
Since her 1998 debut with the single "Poker Face", Hamasaki has sold over 50 million records in Japan, making her the best selling solo singer in Japanese history and ranking her among the best-selling singers in the country. As a female singer, Hamasaki holds several domestic records for her singles, such as the most number-one hits overall by a female artist, the most consecutive number-one hits (also by a female artist), the highest sales, and the most million-sellers. Since 1999, Hamasaki has had at least one single each year top the charts. Hamasaki is the first female singer to have eight studio albums since her debut to top the Oricon and the first artist to have a number-one album for 12 consecutive years since her debut.

Much better. I actually like this look. Just poor use of photoshop or lack thereof.

by half ayu/half dancers, does that mean ayu is sitting for 50% of the concert again?

It's kind of like... she stands in the background singing while the storyline happens in front of her.

I've never seen a woman so pretty end up looking so bad... It's bizarre, really.

But... uh... "giving Gackt"? Cfe360fd6c85b4ff44bd8c20945cc1911023de3c_r To quote your own words, english doesn't work that way (as I saw you say to another member the other day). 8a42666691b164e783f9c2cfebd9962923de5905_r

I think it's more slang-y than anything, lol. It might not be technically correct but it makes sense. It's used in the same way as 'serving' from what I've seen. Retouching can sometimes result in odd results but I don't think they're that bad this time around.

lol, that's a risky move.

Since we're talking Ayu looks, they posted a photo of her at rehearsals a week ago or so. She has such a different look without her lashes and liner.

It's nothing new... anyone remember the CDL 06-07 doco? She looked incredibly different in that, sans makeup. I really feel sorry for Japanese guys lol. Shows how much difference a bit of eye makeup makes.

I do think she's really cute. Then I wonder why all that awful make up and faces. Not necessary at all...

Yeah, her rehearsal outfits consist of a camisole and sweat pants usually... both of which probably cost a fortune, LOL. She's also wearing the men's parka from AT12.

She should ditch the make up. Looks waaaaay better (and 10 years younger) without all that stuff plastered on her face.
