Who said she was born in Korea?
Kind of sounds like the people saying those TXVQ guys would be invited.
Her never having a career in Korea is the main difference.
But you missed the point completely though.
At the end of the day she's still korean.
She's made a great career in Japan and has a pretty high status. Unlike some of the kpop acts who can hardly speak/understad japanese and haven't achieved anything ground breaking in Japan.
I say some because I know some have actually tried and are interested in learning and starting from the ground up. Maybe BoA and TXVQ(probably why people were expecting them). I think them being not as popular plays a role in this and not solely the islands issue. Having a high selling single because it's tied to some event doesn't necessarily mean poularity. So Im going to stand to my point that there has to be more to it than what people are thinking (islands). People on here always say Japan is a land of trends and fads. MAybe the kpop fad is just over. If you haven't built up a fan base then you're going to be seeing the results real soon.
Also you might want to calm it down a bit. You seem hell bent on defending kpop. That just makes you easy bait
