Yeah... some things never change. As far as I remember the previous album was also bad and hated by the majority even before it was out. Now surprsingly it seems it is loved and appreciated (just like Bon Voyage was at the time WOML was going to be released.. and from what I read it was also a very bad album just based on the short previews alone)
So far so good. I am pleased with everything I have heard so far. Ultraviolet is better than I expected from the preview (actually the chorus part is my least favorite, I absolutely love all the background vocals in the verses, her rapping, "prapapa prapapa" and "chit chit chit chat chit chit chit chat chat" or whatever she is saying during those parts, it is very cool and makes the song even more interesting... and the pre-chorus is gold... I would never call the song boring or repetitive, if only it might appear to be a bit messy at first listen).
I find myself appreciating this kind of songs where there is no instant love, but where it takes me some time to get into it. Sometimes when I like it right away it usually reminds me of something else, so it is rather basic, after some time I overplay it and can not listen to it anymore.
So far we only heard 3 songs in full from outside, 1 only live (Cupcake, Ultraviolet, Shhh) and all of them are amazing to me. I am VERY excited to hear W-FACE, Insane, Bassline, Heartless and Bangerang. All the previews for those songs are good, but too short to judge yet. If the rest parts of those songs are even better... I am in heaven.
So far we only heard 5 songs in full from inside, 2 only live (Bring it on, Promise you, Kimi omoi, On my way, Bridget song) Promise you and On My Way are this kind of songs I have missed from Kuu. We yet have no idea how My fun, What's up and Stand by you sound with the vocals (we actually have no idea what kind of song My fun is) and the rest two are only short previews. From this version of the album I am only not really fond of Yorokobi no kakera, sounds flat and boring to me, but lets wait until we hear the rest. My opinion might change.
