I've actually been listening to a lot of oldschool K-Pop songs (late
90s/early 00s) and it amazes me it has been over 10 years since these
songs came out.
What are your favourite oldschool singers/groups/songs?

I don't know if it's because they're older or what, but I enjoy a lot of oldschool K-pop more than today's (the past 4 years or so).

I'll just mention ones that others haven't:

Lee Jung Hyun (like all of her songs go check them out!!)

Fin.Kl. - N.O.W. and their self-titled digital single "Fine Killing Liberty"

Shinhwa - Brand New

S.E.S. - Dreams Come True

Baby VOX - Baila Baila Bonita

In late 1990s and early 2000s, Kpop made first wave in est Asia and south east Asia, thats the time i started listening to Kpop, not much, only those that got Taiwan-pressed-bootleg-CDs. The first Korean pop song that i really like is Must-Say-Goodbye, theme song of movie Il-Mare(触不到的恋人), maybe becoz the film is so memorable. Lee Soo Young (李秀英) had some great tunes I love eg I-believe. BrownEyes-Already-1-Yr is excellent too. I felt Kpop was very refreshing at that time early 2000s, though not always my cup of tea. I was most impressed with Lena Park(朴正炫), and i had her five albums upto On-n-On. Her songs, esp early albums, are not really catchy, but her voice is good. Her most accessible are Op4 and On-n-On.
